On-Site Firewood Processing
If you have recently had tree work carried out and are left with a quantity of timber, Pentland Land Management Services can help turn it into useful firewood. Instead of paying to have the wood removed or allowing it to go to waste, we can process your already rounded-up timber conveniently at your property.
Our on-site firewood processing service is suitable for timber that has already been cut into rounds approximately 10 inches long and gathered together in an accessible working area. Using specialist machinery, we split the rounds into manageable logs, ready for you to stack, season and use once the moisture content has reduced to a suitable level.
Processing timber already available on your land is a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to purchasing firewood. It makes practical use of a natural resource, reduces unnecessary transportation and helps minimise waste following tree work. Once properly seasoned and stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, the finished logs can provide a valuable supply of fuel for suitable wood-burning stoves, fires or outdoor heating.
Our standard processing price applies to timber that has already been cut into suitable 10-inch rounds. Any additional chainsaw work, including cutting long branches, trunks or oversized sections to the required processing length, will be charged separately. This will be discussed before extra work is undertaken.
Whether you have a small domestic pile or a larger quantity of timber, Pentland Land Management Services offers a practical way to recover value from your wood. Our reliable on-site service saves effort, reduces waste and transforms timber from completed tree work into a useful, renewable source of home fuel.
